For the people doing the work
If you run — or hold together — a community organisation, a service, a project: this page is for you.
You already know the loop. Funding arrives scarce, short and conditional. Applications consume the hours the work needed. Good organisations end up competing with the people they’d rather be building with. None of that is a character flaw. It is plumbing — the financial system extracts from the places you serve, then makes you audition for a little of it back.
HAPPI exists to build the other plumbing: infrastructure that lets community-owned finance act as one system, so capital circulates where it was created instead of draining away. When that works, the work you do stops being an annual audition and starts being financed like what it is — infrastructure.
We won’t pretend this is quick. It is a build measured in years, not quarters.
What you can do costs nothing.
If you bank with a credit union or mutual, nominate it — member nomination is how institutions enter, and your voice is what opens the door.
When The Cooperative Commons opens, publish your evidence there, under your own name.
And keep doing the work — you don’t need to join anything, buy anything, or platform us.
We will never ask you for your story, your logo, or your urgency.
